Community Building Committee (CBC)

The community building committee creates space for neighbors to participate in and share their community with one another. We connect East Harriet residents through a web of events and information that builds relationships and community among neighbors, including:
•   Neighborhood events like RoseFest, KiteFest, Sale-O-Rama (garage sale), and the Garden Tour
•   EHFNA's eNews
•   www.eastharriet.org - the neighborhood's up-to-date source of information
•
Block clubs for social and safety purposes

How you can be involved:
Join us for Community Building Committee meetings if you have something you’d like to discuss or learn more about. The committee meets on the second Monday of each month at Walker Place,3701 Bryant Ave, (North Entrance under green awning) at 7 pm.

The next CBC meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 10, 2013.

Contact Adam Faitek via email if you have an idea for a community building project or if you would like more information about the committee.

East Harriet & CARAG Garden Tour June 18, 20 & 22

Picture
Have you walked past beautiful gardens in your neighborhood and wanted a closer look.  Join us for the EHFNA & CARAG Garden Tour and your favorite garden just might be on our route.  If not, tell us which one you'd like to see and maybe we can arrange for it in an upcoming year.  Garden owners will be on hand to show you around and tell you the story of their garden.

The Garden Tour will take place on three separate dates with East Harriet gardens featured on June 20 and CARAG gardens featured on June 18 & 22:

  • Saturday, June 18  - Meet at 10 am at Dunn Bros Coffee on 34th & Hennepin.
  • Monday, June 20 - Meet at 6:30 pm at the Men's Garden located at the corner of King's Highway and Roseway.
  • Wednesday June 22 - Meet at 6:30 pm at Bull Run Coffee on 34th & Lyndale Ave S.
Interested residents will meet up at the designated locations and walk as a group from garden to garden. Maps will be provided.

Join us for one, two or all three days of garden fun.  Meet new neighbors while touring several different gardens each night.
