National Night Out August 6, 2013
Start planning today for your National Night Out (NNO) neighborhood block party on August 6! Check out the Minneapolis NNO web resource for everything you need to to know including tips on putting together a successful NNO party.
You can register your event online or by calling 311. The form to register your block has changed significantly this year. You no longer have to include the names and contact information of those agreeing to the street permit. While you still need 3/4 of your neighbors on the block for a barricade approval, you are on your honor to report the needed 3/4 approval. There is no charge if you register your block by July 23. The fee is $100 after July 23.
Minneapolis Leads the Nation in NNO!
For the second consecutive year and the fifth time in six years, Minneapolis residents led the nation in National Night Out participation! Minneapolis placed first in the nation for the number of NNO gatherings held in the city, among cities with population greater than 300,000.
This year more than 65,000 residents gathered on August 7 at a record 1,219 events in all 83 neighborhoods of the City.
Thanks to the many East Harriet residents who contributed to making August 7 a success by supporting block clubs and NNO!
