Ice in minneapolis
Our community is grieving after the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good in south Minneapolis on Jan. 7, just minutes from East Harriet. Last night (Jan. 14), we learned of another shooting in north Minneapolis involving federal immigration enforcement, further heightening fear, stress, and uncertainty for many neighbors.

For many in our neighborhood, these events also land in the context of the Aug. 27, 2025 mass shooting at the Church of the Annunciation—another tragedy close to home. When traumatic events happen repeatedly and nearby, it can intensify grief, anxiety, anger, and exhaustion.

EHNA believes in inclusivity — we embrace a full spectrum of backgrounds and ensure all voices are heard and respected, creating an environment where everyone feels valued. We’re amplifying community-led resource sharing and counseling/support options on our website, and we’ll keep updating the page as new resources emerge.
